Gather your creative army and battle against other movie makers for three days of filming fun.


How does it work?

This is a FREE event. All are welcome to sign-up. No team too small or large, no expensive equipment needed - if you have a smartphone you can participate. Feeling creative but you've never made a movie before? HELLO the internet is your friend. Go for it!


Holy crap! What is this?
It's a free event where groups of creative individuals come together and make short films in only three days.
What’s the timeline?
SEP 18 - SIGNUP DEADLINE If you are submitting a film you must sign up your team!

SEP 22 - 7PM LAUNCH EVENT @RALPHS At least one member of your team must attend the launch party. Here we will be handing out important information needed to complete your film!

SEP 22-25 - WRITE/FILM/EDIT A MOVIE! From Thursday night to Sunday night you will be writing, filming and editing your project WITH the special instructions given to you at the launch event.

SEP 25 - 7PM HAND IN FILM @RALPHS At least one member of your team must hand in your film file, in person, at Ralph's Sunday night.

OCT 02 - OUTDOOR PREMIERE @RALPHS ALL are welcome to attend the Premiere! Gather your team and friends, bring a chair/blanket, this is an outdoor event. We will watch all the films submitted (even the late ones). Everyone in the audience will have a ballot to vote on their favorites.

What format should the movie be in?
We prefer MPEG, AVI, or MOV file format and delivered in person on a USB drive at Ralphs on September 25th, but contact us if this is a problem.
Can anyone enter?
Yes! This event is for all filmmakers, new or professional, we can't wait to see what you and your team create.
How many people can be on a team?
There are no restrictions, 1-100, go nuts!
If I don't make a film can I still attend the premiere?
Of course! The premiere is a free event, hosted at Ralph's Diner on Sunday October 2nd. Bring a blanket and a chair - this is an outdoor event!

We can’t form a team for you, but you could always try reaching out to folks that might be in a similar situation - visit our Worcester Film Wars Facebook event page to help get your team built.

Who votes on the winner?
Everyone who attends the premiere October 2nd will receive a ballot to vote for their favorite film.
What do we receive if we win?
